If you are a new patient, you should take the following steps before calling:

  1. Check to see if you are eligible for Medi-Cal or Healthy Families. For more information on where to go for this, please go here.
  2. If you are not a Medi-Cal or Healthy Families patient, and will be paying cash on a sliding scale, be prepared to tell us your annual income. Please note that Dientes does not accept any private insurance. You will be given a financial estimate prior to each appointment. Please be aware that payment is due at the time of the appointment. We accept the following as verification of annual income:
    • Income Tax Return, previous year
    • Current Pay Stub
      Unemployment Check
    • Disability Determination
    • Letter from Employer on Company Letterhead, with signature and phone number
    • Student: Financial Aid Letter and copies of checks
  3. We will call to confirm your appointment and will leave a message if you are unavailable. It is the patient's responsibility to call back and confirm that they will be attending their appointment. If the appointment is unconfirmed, it is possible that you may loose your appointment.

Please be aware that we may have a waiting list for new patients.

When going to your appointment, you should:

  1. If you are a Medi-Cal patient, bring your BIC card and photo ID
  2. Plan to spend a little time filling out paperwork if you are a new patient, so come 15 minutes early.
